As a Mechanicsburg Family Photographer, I often get asked 2 questions. 1- what is the difference between a mini session and a full session and 2- Which one is right for my family? So lets get to the bottom of this, shall we?
Some of you may think that there is NO WAY that your beautiful little angel would sit through 60 minutes of posed pictures. Right? Well who could blame them? I wouldn’t want to sit still for that either. That’s why I don’t expect them, or you for that matter, to sit still for anything. How boring would that be? Instead, I believe children should be captured in their element and letting them run and be free, within reason, of course. I get down on their level and interact with them and talk to them about what they like. I like to have fun at my sessions and hope you will as well.
I also take into consideration what you want in your images. For instance, the dad in the above image asked if I would take a picture of him and his son against this building. This is what we captured. I have to say that it’s one of my favorite images I’ve taken.
A Mini session is shorter, hence the mini, but they don’t always allow us to capture YOUR family as you see them. Mini sessions are great for time crunched families who want a themed session to represent a specific moment of the year. Christmas, Fall, Birthday. These are all great examples of mini sessions that some photographers may have.
So how do you decide which session is right for you?
~ You want the full majorCLICKS Photography experience
~ You only want digital images
~ You want more images to choose from in yout online gallery
~ You want the flexibility to choose your date and time
~ You want a one stop shop this year – photo session + digitals + holiday cards for one fee
~ You want a themed session to display
~ November 4th is available on your family schedule
~ You want to get in and out quickly
Do either of these sessions work for you? I’d love to chat with you about capturing your families memories this year. You can contact me HERE if you have questions or if you’re ready to schedule your session. Or visit this link to see a full family session.
