The class of 2021 hasn’t started their senior year yet, but this soon to be senior (OH MY GOSH!!! HOW CAN SHE ALMOST BE A SENIOR???) is the one that made me a mom, so I get to brag a little on this blog.
She makes the fumiest faces when I get her to let me take her picture. I call the one on the left above the “money shot”. You know, the one that every parent would LOVE to have of their child and will DEFINITELY buy. Ok, well, maybe not. 🙂 But I still laugh at them and they make me smile every single time I see them.
Happy Seventeen in Quarantine!
This year is definitely one for the books as we have to celebrate in quarantine because of the Coronavirus. We usually go out to eat with family and have cake and sing. This year, she’ll be eating take out at home and celebrating inside. Well, maybe a few surprises out side of the house.
Occasionally, Kendra let’s me take her picture. She is on my Class of 2021 majorSENIORS Crew, but that’s kind of by default. When you’re the photographers daughter, you’re kind of stuck. Well, she didn’t have to be a part of it, but once she got her BFF to join, she was all in.
Sometimes, like when we were in Puerto Rico (above) my girls will ask me to take their pictures. I couldn’t turn them down when we were in such a beautiful environment.
Kendra has played soccer since she was little and was on the varsity team last year. She also was inducted into the National Honor Society last year. Junior year was a pretty big year for her. This girl, who used to be so shy that she wouldn’t even talk to he uncle, has really come out of her shell. She is funny and smart. Her sarcasm and one liners get me everytime. I am blessed to be her mom and thankful that I have the honor to also be her friend. I’m excited to see where she goes in life. Whatever she does, it will be amazing!
Last year for her 16th birthday, we took a trip to Washington, DC to see her favorite group, Why Don’t We, and do a photo shoot in and around the city. The pictures are wonderful and we had a great time. The editing stands to leave something to the imagination. You can check it out for yourself, though! We sure did have fun though. It’s all about making memories. Hopefully her 17th birthday will be just as memorable!!
I love you, beautiful girl! I’m so proud of you!
