Wondering what mCP is all about? Have some questions about Senior Pictures that you want answered before you contact? Here’s some of the most popular questions I hear.
Why choose a professional photographer?
Have you heard the horror stories of Senior Pictures gone wrong? Your senior photos are a special moment in your life, they should be treated as such. You should look back at these images and have amazing memories and not want to hide them. When you decide on a professional photographer, you won’t have to worry about your favorite pose being blurry or filled with unwanted shadows. . A true professional has experience, happy clients to recommend them, and a clear understanding of what you want and how to achieve it. I will give you first rate care and be there for every single decision, from booking to product ordering. My seniors and their families always walk away happy they chose to become part of the mCP family.
I’m not a model. How will I know what to do and how to pose?
I have never met a supermodel but I have captured many AMAZING SENIORS! You don’t need to be a model or have ever been to a photoshoot to ROCK your senior session with me. I will equip you with everything you need to feel confident and amazing in your session. I will guide you in poses and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I pride myself on real smiles and laughter and don’t worry, we’ll get that straight face, SLAY shot as well! And never fear about what to do with your hands. I’ve got you boo!
What should I wear?
What do you normally wear? WEAR THAT and let me give it a boost. Add a blingy necklace or floppy hat to change it up a little. I also suggest having at least one conservative, polished outfit so you will have a more classic image that will always be in style. Make sure that you try things on beforehand, complete with shoes, so you can see if you need to add a slip or change undergarments or hide bra straps. I suggest 3 outfits. This will give you a nice variety of images to choose from and allows you to show your personality.
I have braces! I have acne! Help! What do I do??
YOU are the most BEAUTIFUL YOU! Braces, acne and all! That being said, I know some seniors can be uncomfortable. Feel free to speak with me prior to the session about anything you might be especially aware of so we can find a solution together.
I want to include my instrument, sports equipment, or varsity jacket…Can we do that?
ABSOLUTELY! This is YOUR session and my goal is to make these images showcase YOU! Please let me know before your session what ideas and props you want to incorporate. The more time I have to plan, the better!
How do I know what locations to choose?
That’s something else that we will discuss at your pre-consultation. Give me some ideas of what you’re thinking and I’ll show you my list of locations. Fields, forest, creeks, streets, graffiti, fire escapes. You name it, we’ll make it happen.
Do you send the school my yearbook image?
If you school allows me to, I certainly will. A lot of the schools in the Central PA area require you to use the Local “box store” photographer. I have the drape for the girls and the background and lighting needed to produce your yearbook image if needed and will include that in your session at no additional charge.
What if I just want the Digitals?
Then you just get the digitals. I believe that what we create together is art and should be printed in some form, not left on a disc or USB drive. I hope that if you buy the digital files that you will choose to print them. Art is meant to be displayed, not hidden from the world. My collections do include digital files and I do offer them to purchase a la carte as well.
My friends want you to do their senior photos too! How should they contact you?
I’d love to do your senior photos, your friend’s senior photos, and their friends, too! You can also consider becoming part of my majorSENIORS Crew, where your job is actually to spread the word about your senior photos to every one you know. For more info on the Crew, you can click here. Your friends can connect with me here.
How much does all of this cost?
Your senior portrait session is an investment in your high school career. They will document a once in a lifetime experience prior to moving on to adulthood. These photos and memories are an investment that you will have to show your children and grandchildren for years to come. My session fee is $185 with products and collects sold separately. Your session fee reserves your date and time for your senior session and includes a custom pre-session consultation to fully plan out your session and a post-session reveal night where you and all of your family and friends will come to view your gallery of amazing images!
How much does the average client invest in as far as products? What is the minimum investment?
The average mCP client invests between $300 and $900 in their senior collections and products. I do understand that it’s an investment and that can be a stretch for some, so I do offer payment plans. I believe that every senior family deserves beautiful portraits and work to make payment plans that fit your budget.
