New Cumberland Small Business Blog

Well, well, well. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Small Business Blog. This time, I got to take New Cumberland Pictures of a small business right in my own town. Would you believe that I’d never actually been into Brew Crumberland’s Best prior to asking co-owner Wade, to do this blog? Yeah, he couldn’t either.

Your Name
Wade Weiser

Your Business Name

Website address – Where can customers get the latest news?
What type of business is it?
Coffee Shop/Bakery
How long have you been in business?
A little over 3 years
Hours and location?
Brew Crumberland’s Best is open 6:00AM-3:00PM Monday-Friday, and 7:00AM-2PM Saturday and Sunday. BCB Rossmoyne is open 6:00AM-3:00PM Monday-Friday
Tell me about your business – what do you do?
Both of our locations focus on providing high quality products at a speed that can be enjoyed by anyone, including the working class community. We offer hand-made pastries and locally sourced coffee, and by utilizing our drive-thru at both shops, we are able to compete with the speed of any typical fast-food restaurant.
Tell me about YOU! Why did you choose to do what you do?
My sister and I are co-owners of the business. She has a degree in pastry arts and a passion for creating all of the baked items that we provide on a day-to-day basis. I have a background in business, a love for coffee, and a drive to own my own business, which is why I took over all of the business operations of our company over two years ago.

If you sell products, what is your absolute favorite product that everyone must try?
Honestly, anything that Laurel makes is definitely worth trying. I’m a big fan of our breakfast sandwiches as well.
Who was/is your biggest supporter in starting your own business?
Hands down our biggest support system comes from our parents. Their faith in our abilities is unwavering, and their consistent willingness to provide us with any help we need has been the back-bone of our company since its inception.
What other local business do you just LOVE! Why?
The list of local businesses that have played a pivotal role in our success over the past few years is too long to even comprehend typing out. Lancaster County Coffee Roasters, Elementary Coffee Company, Mid Penn Bank, SSS Printing, Grey Water Ops, Harrisburg Dairies, West Shore Chamber of Commerce, and Vital Technologies are just a few that come to mind instantly.
Outside of your business, what are you passionate about?
Personally, I love coffee. I understand that seems like a cop-out for this question, but I genuinely enjoy spending my time checking out other local shops, and just gaining more knowledge about coffee in general. I also spend as much time as possible outdoors, playing board/video games, and being with my friends and family.

I do like a good coffee shop and the owner being passionate about the brew is even more important as that means that the coffee will be high quality as well. If I get a good cup of coffee I will definitely return. It’s great that his sister has a degree in baking, I’m sure their pastries are amazing!ReplyCancel

Me and my husband are coffee freaks so visiting a business like that would be a pleasure. I love coffee too and used to work as a Barista for few years. It’s so cool one of the co-owners has a degree in pastries and all they do comes from the heart and also – knowledge! All the luck for the coffee shop/bakery in the future!ReplyCancel

This is a wonderful interview with a great sounding coffee shop. If I am ever in that area I would love to check it out. I love the neat vibes of coffee shops, as well as trying the other things they offer besides coffee as I do not care for coffee. ReplyCancel
